Our passionate team of Roll Right certified and insured instructors provides In-line and Roller Skate instruction for the Portland Metro area in Oregon. Our collective goal is to help you gain control of your skates so they do what you want them to do. You will learn how to take your skates for a ride instead of lacing up and hoping for the best. We create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone can show up as their authentic self and be celebrated. We’re dedicated to delivering skate instruction at your pace in a safe and mindful way. We can’t wait to share with you what we know. Skating is therapy for a lot of us and we want you to have access to this joyous therapy too.
We offer a variety of open skates, practice time, group classes, workshops,
fundraisers, guided trail skates, traveling guest instructors and more.
Open Skate at PDX Fieldhouse in Beaverton off 217 & SW Allen Blvd. This is an inline roller hockey rink with sport court flooring that actually doesn’t suck like most do. We’ll follow rink etiquette as follows: Fast skaters to the outer circle, slower skaters minimum 3-4 feet off the wall and dance skaters in the middle. Please do not cut through the middle of the rink when there are dance skaters there. Skate in a spiral towards your preferred spot on the rink floor rather than cut straight across the floor. Point to your exit when approaching your exit so skaters behind you know to go to the left of you so you can exit right. Please give beginners some room for their anxiety. If you see someone fall, ask if they are ok or need help. Let’s foster a safe and friendly open skate for everyone.
Practice Time is where skaters practicing share the space with classroom skaters. We will designated class space and practice space. Class takes priority over space.
